Now that you are looking at the screen, browsing through our website and reading this text at this moment, imagine that you want to have a basement of your own. Be it beneath your own existing house or in your own back or front garden. I’m not sure if you realize one very interesting pattern. A lot of people perceive basements as a second rate space and tend to narrow down the use of it to a utility or storage space.

They are present in most of houses in American cities in medium and high density residential areas. They are also becoming more and more popular in Ireland. Do you know why? Do you know what makes them so interesting? It is the fact that these basements house key activities of one’s everyday life.
They incorporate spacious and bright kitchens with dining areas, cosy bedrooms or leisure spaces including TV rooms, cinemas, music rooms, gyms, saunas, steam rooms, underground pools, you name it… Would you not agree that something like this would add not only to the market value of your house but to the standard of your everyday life as well?
But what is absolutely essential to a good design and construction of a basement and these are the three very important elements I was talking about earlier. 
Something that if you don’t get right the first time, can hit you very unexpectedly, like a rake lying in the grass…
